About us

All of our products are made in England on our family run farm in Northamptonshire. We were inspired to create beautiful, natural products that engage all of your senses during our second pregnancy in 2021.

When pregnant with our first baby in 2020, I (Francesca), became particularly interested in the power of scent as a relaxation anchor and accompaniment to hypno-birthing after being introduced to it during our baby preparation classes. This led to lots of late night googling and home-experimentation, as we became aware of the properties of different scents and how they go together. It is often said that scent is the most powerful of all the senses, and the use of lavender throughout both birth preparation and birth helped me during the birth of our daughter.

What particularly stood out during these late-night research marathons was the way in which many brands hide the source and artificial nature of many of their ingredients, and the often confusing labelling that can be used to do this.

When we fell pregnant with our second child, we decided this was the perfect time to launch our own product line, with a focus on all natural ingredients and full transparency about where we get them from. We are lucky enough to be grow two of our main ingredients ourselves, on our family-run farms in both the UK and Romania.

Traceability in our supply chain is core to who we are, ensuring that we are providing products of the highest quality. Working with our family businesses allows to ensure that the ingredients used in our products meet our high standards.

Lavender oil

The Lavender oil used in all of our products is 100% organic, and produced on our partner farm in Romania, Isolde Farms. Isolde Farms is part of our family business, and grows just 13 acres of organic lavender a year, which we are lucky enough to have access to.

The lavender is processed into lavender oil on farm, ensuring no quality is lost between the field and the bottle, and allows us full assurance as to the origin of our products.

Carrier oil

The carrier oil used in our massage oil is cold-pressed rapeseed oil, pressed at our home farm in Northamptonshire. This means we are able to fully trace the source of our ingredients and ensure the oil used is of the highest quality.

Using a cold-pressed oil as a carrier for the high quality lavender infusion ensures the oil retains more nutrients than those which have been extracted through heating meaning the skin benefits from the natural minerals and compounds found in the oil, such as vitamin E. Our cold-pressed rapeseed oil is quickly absorbed by the skin, so you and your baby can avoid the 'sticky feeling' that is often caused by massage oil.

Our cold-pressed oil project was made possible thanks to funding from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, which provided partial start up funding for our pressing equipment.
